one week before:
there's a few things you can do to help the process that start a week or more out from your appointment.

to keep it simple: prepare the body and the mind.

a healthy body will help with healing and healthy skin takes the ink better.

a relaxed mind will cope better with the pain.
eat well, hydrate regularly, take it easy at the gym to avoid sore muscles, get as much sleep and rest as you can!

moisturising and exfoliating your skin makes it easy for us, and avoid sunburn or cuts on the area.

take the time to unwind, reduce your workload, do some yoga, meditation, whatever works for you.

now you'll wanna ease off on some things.
keep eating well and hydrating, but cut exercise down to a bare minimum. sore muscles will just make it more painful!

avoid alcohol as it can thin your blood and slow things down.
should you pre shave? it's totally up to you. if you choose to do so just be careful, cuts on the area might mean we can't tattoo you!

that's it! you're all ready.

get an early night so you've got plenty of energy to make it through tomorrow.
the day before:
okay so your mind is relaxed, your body is healthy, your skin is baby soft and smooth, it's almost the bit day!

tattoo day!
you've done the hard work now it's time to get hyped for your new tattoo!
start the day with a solid meal. tattooing takes energy so a full belly will carry you through.

snacks are good too! pack all your favourite snacks and drinks, especially anything sugary to keep those blood sugar levels up. tattoo day is cheat day so splurge on all the bad stuff.
nothing helps with the pain like a good distraction! bring your favourite, some bring headphones and listen to music, play games or watch movies on their phone. others bring a book, nintendo switch/steamdeck, whatever works for you.
it's okay to bring a support person too so you can chat away or have them hold your hand and support you.

don't forget your photo id too! i don't tattoo anyone under 18.
