Hyottoko://

> Pronunciation: (HYOT‑toh‑koh)

> English name: Fire blower

> Distinctive features: A goofy face with a puckered, skewed mouth like he’s blowing on a fire, sometimes one eye bigger than the other, often wearing a dotted cloth around his head. Looks silly and instantly recognisable in a mask form.

> Powers: More about vibe than combat. sometimes thought of as a fire spirit or god in parts of northern Japan. Not a fighter, just brings the heat and the laughs.

> Habitat: just regular old villages! shows up in dances, celebrations, and old stories.

> Claim to fame: A beloved comic figure in Japanese culture and festival dances. a guy who wasn't great at much but was a fun guy. he got given the job of blowing on the communal fire to keep it going, his mouth eventually got stuck like that but shows there's a place and a job for everyone!

> Common tattoo depictions: Works great as a mask‑only piece or head in a larger scene. almost always paired with flames but can use smoke even Okame (the cheerful female mask) for a playful pairing. Great for small flash piece or gap filler.

> Tattoo symbolism: Good fortune, humor, playful energy, hearth and home spirit. A lighthearted piece that brings a smile more than fear.
